About Me
Hello, BA223. My name is Noah Gray and I'm am looking forward to being apart of this spring term class.
This is actually my first real dive into marketing, and I’m looking forward to broadening my skills and learning more about how communication plays such a major role in the business world. I’m currently working towards a degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance, and while my core studies are focused on numbers and strategy, I know how important it is to understand the people side of business too.
I’ve always been fascinated by how brands build trust and connection—how a great story, campaign, or message can influence real-world action. That’s one of the main reasons I enrolled in this class. I want to explore how communication, especially through marketing and media, drives engagement and adds value to a company or product.
Outside of school, two of my biggest passions are Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and personal training. I’ve spent years training in BJJ, and it’s shaped the way I approach life—teaching me patience, resilience, discipline, and mental toughness. It’s a sport that challenges you physically and mentally, and it’s helped me grow both inside and outside the gym.
Personal training ties into that same mindset. I love helping others become stronger, healthier, and more confident. Watching someone push past their limits and make real progress is one of the most rewarding things I’ve experienced. Eventually, I’d like to combine my business and fitness backgrounds to launch something meaningful in the health or wellness space—maybe a gym, a fitness brand, or something totally new.
I also enjoy cooking and have been spending more time experimenting in the kitchen lately—it’s become a great way to decompress and stay creative. And while I’m often balancing a full plate, I’m working on building better routines, like making time for reading and getting outside more often.
I’m taking this class partly because the timing finally lined up. Between gen eds, major requirements, and staying on track with my degree, this term gave me a little more room to take something that’s personally interesting and professionally relevant. I want to be more confident in how I communicate ideas, write persuasively, and connect with an audience.
My goals for this term are pretty straightforward:
-
Stay on top of deadlines and manage my time well.
-
Get comfortable with storytelling and content creation.
-
Learn how to apply marketing/communication strategies to my own interests and future career path.
